(written 2005)
Inquiring minds want to know
What lies beneath the fallen snow.
Not just heavy hearts or happy smiles,
Or cold footprints filling empty miles,
Or tight stretched hopes and worn out dreams,
Or frayed loose ends and breaking seams.
But under a winter’s warm comfort
Is a peaceful timeless summer resort.
A place to escape inquiring minds,
where you can just go and open the blinds,
So you can search your heart and inner soul,
Where you can ease your mind and lose control,
As you stand there in the calming glow,
That comes to you through fallen snow.
